چکیده

The core of bioprinting related research aims to reduce the gap between ex vivo cell cultures and in cellular tissue models further its application within biomedical field. While additive manufacturing is touted as disruptive technology, bioprinter equipment costs exceed limited resource budgets many laboratories restricting scope for development potential medical application. In line with this, a relatively low-cost (SidneV1, SV1) was successfully designed manufactured using low-cost, commercially available FDM Delta 3D printer prototype base custom micro-extrusion printhead. Printing accuracies assessed were 65% (for width measurements) 64% height measurements). This study aimed demonstrate way achieve cell-free hydrogel printing establish basis future system modifications refinements such that this technology becomes more accessible under-funded groups globally. Optimization parameters, formulations sterilization techniques will allow patterning engineering three-dimensional macroscale scaffolds technology.

Lab-on-a-printer Platform Technology

This work introduces and demonstrates the concept of Lab-on-a-Printer whereby microfluidic components are integrated with inkjet dispensers. This concept allows for multi-functional microfluidic materials processing to be performed on chip and direct post-process printing of those materials enabling printing of programmable gradients and more generally structures with programmable composition. ...

Printer Identification Based on Texture Features

In today’s digital world securing different forms of content is very important in terms of protecting copyright and verifying authenticity. Many techniques have been developed to protect audio, video, digital documents, images, and programs (executable code). One example is watermarking of digital audio and images. We believe that a similar type of protection for printed documents is very impor...

Development of a 3D printer using scanning projection stereolithography

We have developed a system for the rapid fabrication of low cost 3D devices and systems in the laboratory with micro-scale features yet cm-scale objects. Our system is inspired by maskless lithography, where a digital micromirror device (DMD) is used to project patterns with resolution up to 10 µm onto a layer of photoresist. Large area objects can be fabricated by stitching projected images ov...

Compensation of printer MTFs

Preliminary experiments have shown that the quality of printed images depends on the capacity of the printing system to accurately reproduce details. We propose to improve the quality of printed images by compensating for the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) of the printing system. The MTF of the printing system is measured using the method proposed by Jang and Allebach, in which test pages c...

Use of a 3D printer to create a bolus for patients undergoing tele-radiotherapy

Background: This study describes the possibility of implementing three-dimensional printing technology to create a precise construction of a planned bolus, based on computed tomography information stored in the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) format file. Materials and Methods: To create the bolus with a 3D printer, we converted data in the DICOM format to the s...
